I spent a little over 25 years on leadership teams that experienced rapid growth and dynamic change.
As a sales leader, I developed revenue engines and built sales teams from scratch that produced millions of dollars in repeatable sales. Later on, I took over the leadership of a 50 employee company that had 5+ years of flat topline growth and was losing money. In less than two years we were back to being profitable.
I was always a big believer in working on the business, not in the business and because of this there were some really great outcomes for the companies I helped lead. When I got too fixated on the task at hand challenges ensued...I won't get into that here but suffice to say, I'd like a few do overs.
I discovered EOS® when I sat through a Level 10 Meeting™ that was being run by one of my clients. As somebody with a passion for execution, I was immediately smitten and enquired about the structure and cadence of the meeting. When I was handed the book Traction®, I discovered that it was more than just a great meeting that this system brought to the table and I made plans to become an implementer.
Entrepreneurs are my heroes...I would argue that after healthcare/first responders and our essential workers, they will be the ones to help us turn the corner on the last several years. All that said, It is not easy...far from it and I try to do everything in my power to help them succeed.
